Great Day to be a Bobcat!

It has become tradition at Texas State University to begin conversations, speeches and events with the phrase, “It’s A Great Day to Be A Bobcat!”  The phrase signifies the dedication and honor we have for our institution and our gratefulness for our university by the river.

Texas State celebrates traditions such as rubbing the Stallions for good luck before an exam and jumping into the San Marcos River after commencement ceremonies.  We cheer for the ‘Cats at sporting events, give back to our community during Bobcat Build, and honor those that came before us at Bobcat Pause.

Our location in the Texas Hill Country and burgeoning Austin Metropolitan Area provides our students with an outstanding opportunity to find internships, conduct research, and foster connections to last a lifetime.  Whether you are in the Quad, Sewell Park, or off campus remember-

“It’s a Great Day to be a Bobcat!”
