Foster Care Alumni Upcoming Events
One of the ways you can connect with other students is through social events. Some of these social events will be solely for foster care alumni, such as pizza parties, ice cream socials, welcome back socials, and trips to nearby museums. So that you can meet with students in other organizations, we will have some events with other student groups, such as going to football games, baseball games, spring break sendoff, and going to on-campus theater productions.
We also offer a facebook group that is completely private for foster care alumni to connect. This group will not show up under your groups or in your news feed. If you would like to be invited to join this group, contact Sheila Bustillos Reynolds at sr35@txstate.edu. Because this group is private, you must be invited to join the group. Diwali 09
What: The Indian Student Association cordially invites you on the occasion of Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights. Stroll, relax, and enjoy the vibrant Indian music, dances, and delicious food.
Where: Alkek Teacher Theater
Day/Time: November 14, 6pm - 9pm.
Job Shadowing
What: This unique externship offers students a chance to test out their career choices during the winter break. The primary goal of the program is to expose a diverse group of students to a career setting within their major. Students who participate in the program have an opportunity to examine job responsibilities and skills to gain insight into the future outlook of occupations they are considering. Students may also develop possible contacts for internships or full-time jobs.
Dedicated employers in Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and the Central Texas corridor graciously support the Career Services Job Shadowing Program.
