Scholarships are a very important part of what this organization does for our students. To answer the need for financial assistance for new and continuing students at Texas State University, the Association has established four scholarships, raising the award in 2000 to $1,500 per academic year. A scholarship is an outstanding way to remember someone or an organization and at the same time benefit students in need.

The Marian Loep Endowed Scholarship, established in 1999, is designated for a student whose parents are members of the Parents Association. Mrs. Loep has been the Association’s coordinator since 1989 and is directly responsible for the association’s growth and increased funding capabilities.
Our newest scholarship, the Heloise Bowles Memorial Endowed Scholarship, was established in October 2006 to commemorate the Association's 30th Anniversary on the Texas State campus and to honor the memory of Heloise who was the Association's first honorary chair person. This scholarship is designated for a student whose parents are members of the Association and with special consideration for a student majoring in Journalism and Mass Communication or Mathematics.
On-line Scholarship information and applications available.
Congratulations to all our Parents Association scholarship winners!
