I am excited about the amazing changes happening at Texas State University. From the new McCoy School of Business to aquifer study at River Center to the move to Division I with the sports programs -- this is a university on the move.
When my oldest son started at Texas State, I decided to join the Parents Association. I wanted to share and be involved without cramping his style. Now both of my sons attend Texas State -- Hunter, a junior majoring in English, and Chase, a freshman pursuing the dream of being a paleontologist. Through the Parents Association, I have been able to keep up with happenings at Texas State and maintain a great connection with my sons.
In joining the Parents Association, I found a great group of folks having a great time working together to support the students and organizations of Texas State. Last year the Parents Association awarded $87,288 in support to student-related programs and $11,850 in scholarship awards. If you would like to be part of a dynamic university, the Parents Association is a great place to start. Please join us.
