Since its founding over a hundred years ago, Texas State has engaged in a tireless pursuit of excellence that has produced nationally recognized programs in education, creative writing, business and physics, as well as an increasing number of masters and doctoral level degree options. Student teams and organizations win recognition each semester for outstanding work at the state and national level, while faculty members regularly receive honors in their respective disciplines. From high admissions standards to a top-ranked geography program, the university has reason to be proud. The Student Affairs Student Success Team aims to highlight these endeavors and invites you to check out the university's points of pride and indicators of excellence for more about academic and scholarly achievements at Texas State.
Service Learning Projects and events will include service learning experiences with structured reflection, involvement with the American Democracy Project (Texas State is currently one of 36 institutions of higher learning across the country collaborating with the New York Times on this project), and community activities such as participating in the Bobcat Build initiative and Pack it Up and Pass It On.
