Move In Day

The Emerging STARS Program is a bridge program offered to students who are accepted to the University under the condition they participate in this program during Summer Session II. The program is offered collaboratively between Academic Affairs and Student Affairs and in partnership with numerous departments throughout campus.

The program is designed to combine an academic skills course and a composition course. The students will have access to teaching assistants as tutors in addition to other academic services traditionally offered (Writing Center, Student Learning Assistance Center (SLAC) and Student Support Services). Also, student programming will be offered to introduce the students to campus life. Many of the students participating will be first generation college students and may have low socio-economic status.
